Time famine is a rising epidemic for the modern human.

We believe that drinking tea gives us the permission and privilege to stop time even if it’s just for a few moments.

The culture of drinking tea is infused with a rich appreciation and gratitude for its ability to give us time to disconnect from our troubles and find comfort, warmth, peace, and health. It allows us to be mindful of life’s present simplicity- and in that moment access serenity.

Our vision is to share the passion and love of specialty tea and mindful living in Melbourne! We plan to do this through a tea house & well being centre in Brunswick! We'd love for you to be a part of it!

How The Funds Will Be Used

Tea is so much more than just a bag you drop in a cup! Serving specialty tea is a beautiful process that you can enjoy with all your senses. On top of the array of aromas and various tastes, seeing the clear colour of the water transform to bright greens, pale yellows, reds, and purple is stunning to watch. We would love to serve our tea in glass tea pots so that you can enjoy this whole process!

This is a breakdown of where the $1272 (hopefully raised) will go to:
- We will need 20 of these tea pots below:

Each tea pot costs $25.40 including the candle warmer underneath ($508 total)

- We are planning on running an emotional resiliency and social skills program for children (aged 7-11). In order to teach children how to be mindful of others, exercise patience, and treat others with respect and kindness we would like to do a small 'tea ceremony' that allows the children to serve each other tea. We would like to use a traditional Kung Fu to serve the tea in the class as it is a wonderful interactive and interesting way for children to get involved! This is an image of the set we would like to buy for the children's class:

Bamboo tray: $135
12 Small procelain tea cups at $2.50 each: $30

Finally we will need 5 of these kettles to serve tea in our group counselling rooms, yoga room, and tea house. Each kettle costs $119.95.
Total for kettles: $599.75

So that's where the amount of $1272.75 came from!

The Challenges

There will always be obstacles and challenges and we're not scared of that. For everything that happens in life there is a potential lesson to be learnt. If we do not reach the outlined funding for this project we will find another way to make it happen! We are committed and dedicated to make this work!

We will engrave your name as thanks for your generosity on the bamboo tea tray!
