THANK YOU
We have reached our campaign target and there are 22 hours to go. We are feeling the love!
Today we are all in the Fishtrap Theatre, plotting lights and working through where to store props offstage. This is such an exciting time as it all comes together at last. Thanks so much to all our supporters and we hope to see you at a performance soon.
If still you want to support us, its not too late. You can make a gift now or just buy a ticket and come see the show.
Thanks again

Life's Big Question answered by the people of Mandurah Performing Arts Centre
With just one week to go until the world premiere of The Ghost’s Child we asked the people of Mandurah Performing Arts Centre their answer to one of the big questions in the show. Click on the video above to hear their answers!
Background
In 2009, Sally Richardson came into the Performing Lines WA office with a copy of Sonya Hartnett’s The Ghost’s Child and said “I want to adapt this extraordinary novel for the stage”.
Three years later we are almost ready to premiere the show at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre. We just need your help to make sure we can create an extraordinary show. Know that your support through our pozible campaign will be directly assisting the artists! Every dollar raised gives us more chance to realise Sally’s vision on the Fishtrap Theatre stage in the best possible way.
About the Performance
This is a ghost story, an adventure story, a love story.
A sea witch and the west wind, a silent man and a lonely young woman, sea eagles and a search for the world’s most beautiful thing...
Winner of the 2008 Australian Young Adult Book of the Year Award, The Ghost’s Child is a magical story about the meaning of life, the power of love and the quality of happiness.
Adapted and directed by Helpmann Award winner Sally Richardson, the show features an original score and live music by Melanie Robinson. A talented and all West Australian team bring this beautiful fable to the stage.

About Sally Richardson
Sally has been independently creating and producing original Australian performances for over 25 years.
As a writer and director, Sally is fascinated by the re-creation and telling of stories. Taking inspiration from diverse texts and real life encounters, she creates powerful works going straight to the core of the Australian psyche.
‘I am continually developing the possibilities of what theatre is and could be. My work is ever-evolving, always questioning and delving into new forms of expression. Working across genre, each new performance takes form through an open and collective exchange of ideas with artists from various backgrounds including circus, dance, theatre, writing, music, and the visual arts’.
Sally is passionate about shaping an Australian performing arts culture that engages with our ever-changing society. She has worked as a writer, director, dramaturg and performer in collaboration with some of Australia’s leading performing arts companies and artists. In 2000 she founded independent company Steamworks Arts Productions and remains its Director. She is a core artist with Performing Lines WA.
Her ability to envisage and direct large-scale hybrid performances with multiple choreographers and artists has been widely recognised, winning a prestigious Helpmann Award Best Presentation for Children for The Promise, which she wrote and directed for The Flying Fruit Fly Circus at the Sydney Festival.
