SERIOUS REALITIES ~ For Australians aged between 15 - 44, suicide is the leading cause of death. Crisis support and suicide prevention charity Lifeline says stigma remains a challenge and are working to half the suicide rate in the next decade. We think we can help. Personal experiences inspired in us a passion for making films that raise awareness for mental health and offer some relief for those suffering.

SOLUTIONS ~ Laughter is scientifically proven to chemically alter our mood and elevate our emotions leading to a healthier, happier state. JUMP! is a feel good comedy about breaking free from anxiety and depression through music, dance, humour and compassion. This film aims to remind those who are suffering that they're not alone and to offer some relief through laughter.

 OUR STORY follows Melody Meriwether, a 35 year old bumbling secretary wanna-be dancer with an 80’s music obsession and a rare condition called “Stiff Leg Syndrome”. Melody gains entry into "So You Think You Can Still Dance?" and must construct a winning dance routine with Gunter Jazhanz, an OCD has-been dance professional with an aversion to 80’s music and a vendetta to crush her soul. Will Melody allow Gunter to break her and give up on her dreams or will she stay true to herself and battle it out 80’s style? Think Bridget Jones vs Mugatu!

$2000 CATERING - for our totally ace cast and crew for 7 days who are kindly volunteering their time and talent
$800 PRODUCTION DESIGN - Melody and Gunter's outrageous dance costumes, 80's props for Melody's bedroom, plus decorations and stage design for the big dance competition scene 
$300 SOUND - to create the unique and comedic Jump! sound design
$350 SAFETY OFFICER - for our comedic and dance stunts - because our cast and crew's safety is our number one priority!
$800 LOCATIONS - to create vibrant worlds for Melody and the Dance Competition - we need space for some ridiculous dance moves!
$350 HAIR & MAKEUP - for totally rad 80's hairdos and fabulously colourful make up
$600 DISTRIBUTION & MARKETING - DVD's, film festival entries to get our film up on the big screen in cinemas around the world as well as locally.  Some film festivals are $100 per entry - yikes!
$200 TRAVEL - hire costs and petrol to drive our bogus equipment van around for 7 days
$500 DATA STORAGE - hard drives and data wrangling software to keep all the radilicious footage of the film safe

Jump! will explore the symbiotic relationship between music, picture and movement which means a lot of careful preparation and planning in pre production, on the shoot and post production...

MUSIC: Our brilliant composing duo Troy Rogan and Liam Whittaker have created rockin' original 80's and modern tracks for Jump!.  Melody's vibrant 80's sound will contrast with Gunter's pretentious modern dance music. 




DANCE ROUTINES: Our super talented Choreographers Simone French and Adam Ibrahim are hard at work developing routines that would put Cyndi Lauper to shame!


BIG DANCE SCENES: We have 2 big dance scenes in Jump! which require many extras, production design, costumes and fun!
