Set against the backdrop of 1970s New Jersey, Henry Schneibler attempts to solidify his fading legacy as the notorious business tycoon of the glitter industry. Schnibbles takes its name from the German-American colloquial term for 'little scraps'. In fact, 'Schnibbles' was the first name for glitter when it was initially invented!

THE CREW

Hey! I'm Clancy Tate, the director of this project. I remember the exact moment that Schnibbles was conceived. It was September 2023. Liam and I were eating fish and chips, discussing different biopics we would like to see made. I landed on the idea of a melodramatic retelling of the invention of glitter, and we realised we should just make the damn thing ourselves. Initially based on true events, Schnibbles has since evolved into a fully fledged absurdist comedy, the story of which we have been growing and perfecting ever since. 

Schnibbles will be brought to life by our talented crew: 

• With Liam Parigi and Jeremy Frydman writing the script, every line makes you feel like you've been punched in the gut, simultaneously making you want to laugh AND cry. 
• The camera is in great hands with John Ross behind the helm, crafting up some top-notch cinematography to encapsulate all the highest highs and profound lows of life as a jaded CEO. 
• Producing the project is Nicola Long and Felix Siro who have been working tirelessly to keep the glitter factory running smoothly, scouting for locations and making sure glitter doesn't blow our budget.
• Grace Molloy is in charge of curating the production design, sourcing antique furniture, a bunch of little glass vials, and dare I say... talking oil paintings. 
• Our editor James Forster is a man of many talents, not only delivering the final cut of the project but also being our in-house graphic designer. According to Schnibbles lore, James designed the company logo for Henry Schneibler in 1943. 
• Last but certainly by no means least, the beloved Samuel Edwards, who will be designing the film's entire snortscap- uh, soundscape from the ground up. What sound does glitter make? You'll have to ask him.

THE NITTY GRITTY - BUDGET

To make the magic happen and the glitter, we need funds. As our story is set in the 1970s, we need to spend a large proportion of the funding on locations, costumes and props. And we cannot forget about our hard working cast and crew, who will need to be fed and transported to the glitter factory. 

We will be allocating the funds as follows:

• Gear (camera lenses & equipment not covered by the university) - 10% of total funding
• Cast & Crew (actor's fees & transportation) - 10% of total funding
• Location & Catering (payment of venues & food for all on set) - 33% of total funding
• Art-Department (props, furniture hire/purchases, glitter) - 26% of total funding
• Post-Production (hard-drives, special effects, colour grading) - 21% of total funding
