I am a Visual Artist looking for funding to complete my artwork, "DORMANT", for the SWELL art exhibition 14 - 23 September at Currumbin, Gold Coast. I have exhibited at SWELL the past 5 years but am seeking sponsorship for this ambitious project.
In the past my work "Troy Town", a walk through maze, was selected for the Helen Lempriere Award ...
and my "Grass Cube" for the McClelland Exhibition in 2008 ...

I have designed and made a prototype of Dormant ...
& am now making the full size work. This rectangular sculpture will be made of durable 10mm Polycarbonate. It will be 1.7m tall x 1.2m wide and its internal 'Moth' images are projected by a gobo and DMX Control system.
The base of the work is transparent so it appears to float above the ground. The top is white and dormant.
After dusk, or on a cloudy day, the translucent work flickers within. On closer inspection ‘Moths’ appear and come to life.
The internal lighting system will be iPhone activated and a 2D barcode on the external framework will direct spectators to my website.
I am looking for 1/3rd ($2,000) of the cost of making the artwork.
The rectangular polycarbonate will cost $3,600.
