Jemila MacEwanHi Shian, I have been thinking of you and your dedication. Right now I am working for this big famous artist in New York and I had this total downer day, feeling like success is totally impossible with such a messed up art scene, and all most of us really want is the opportunity to have an audience so that we can learn to make better work. I came home and thought about you way back in 1st year dance and the way you would ask me after each rehearsal how high your leg lifts were. That group were all such amazing people and nearly all of you are still very visibly working really hard. Sometimes I think how as artists we need to enjoy and be empowered by the amazing people we get to share our time with; and all the while trying to lift those legs higher. Life here in the dirty apple is expensive and this is a token contribution to let you know that I think you are doing good; you give me strength to keep going. x Jemila12y
