Amalia needs to eat, gluten free. She has a sensitive stomach and bloats up. As concerning as this is, there is a cure... Your help.
Amalia Lucia Gomez is Gluten Intolerant is a short film written and directed by Shideh Faramand and produced by Erfan Khadem. It will be shot by the very talented Maxx Corkindale , with a stellar cast bringing to light, a quirky little comedy about the perils of identity and wheat.
Trust me, it'll work.
We need funds for basic things- camera and lighting equipment, art department, set, costumes, gluten free food (we all know that's not cheap) and all the little bits and bobs that go into making a short film. The awesome cast and crew are all doing this pro-bono, to which we are eternally grateful.
And we'll be eternally grateful to you and you and you, whoever you are, who would like to support our little endeavor!
Sheepie Productions self funded last short film 'A Reluctant Bride' was a festival hit, screening across Australia, North America and around the world. We trust this upcoming creation will once again be the little film that could!
My Producer thinks this type of thing comes across as 'scabby'. I fired him. Then I realised I'm married to him and that would be awkward.
If you believe in me, and you have- in the words of every scabby kid hanging 'round the canteen at lunch time- 'have a dollar to spare', that would be grand. Baby Grand.

Amalia Lucia Gomez is Gluten Intolerant- is all about a little wide eyed girl, who longs to be a child and fly a kite! She is one half Mexican and one half Italian. Torn between two crazy dysfunctional parents each trying to 'teach' Amalia about her 'one half culture', Amalia manages to find a light at the end of the tunnel... but are there strings attached?
