Erōtikós- a new play by Red Rabbit Collective

Ana and Henry know how to push each other’s buttons. Two competitive authors embroiled in an amicable rivalry, the pair feed off their ongoing literary duel for inspiration, and frequently issue each other with intense writing challenges. This time, the theme is erotica.

As each writer explores the language of sex, their respective scenes play out before us, spiraling into a complex web of unexpected erogenous encounters and secret yearnings. Compelled to review their own sexual histories under a microscope, Ana and Henry quickly discover that articulating the erotic is not quite the walk in the park they first imagined. The journey tests their relationship, their talents and the very sense of self that makes them who they are.

An arousing and provocative adventure into the heart of literature’s most taboo genre, Erōtikós engages with the fears, desires and vulnerabilities of a savvy contemporary audience. Played out in a series of compelling erotic scenarios, the piece uses physical theatre, classic narratives, contemporary dance and intimate monologues to elicit questions about our own erotic inner life.
