Presenting Sophie Moran Ceramics
Hi, my name is Sophie Moran and I am a potter from Melbourne, Australia.
My mission is to create a beautiful and functional design market display so people can see and hold the hand crafted tableware I make.

I recently made the transition to selling my pottery entirely online. It’s a direction I am happy to have taken except collectors and new customers miss out on that quintessential element of touch. Exhibiting regularly at major national design markets will allow my customers the chance to handle my wares before purchasing.
This year I am taking part in the next Finders Keepers market at the Exhibition Building in Melbourne, as well as The Big Design Market in December. Professional and attractive presentation at these events is essential, so I'm undertaking this campaign to acquire a substantial market display, that is easy to transport and assemble, and shows my work in the best possible light.

I would love you to help me create a knock out visual display. It will feature stand-alone shelving with additional props and risers, a portable counter and wrapping station with point of sale facilities and promotional material including beautiful signage. All this and it needs to be portable, sturdy and easy to erect.

I’ve done my research and know exactly what I want so now is the time to think about what you might like in return.
Here's hoping you like pottery as much as I do! I have created a brand new 'Kitchen Collection' that celebrates handmade ceramics and the limited edition tea towel, apron and mixing bowls are available to you here first, dear pledgers. There is also the offer of mentoring for emerging potters and even the chance to give the wheel a go in a one off workshop at the beautiful studio of Cone 11 Ceramics at Abbotsford convent.
I have a fairly modest financial target and should it be surpassed any addition funds will be put towards the purchase of a van. These, often three day, local and interstate events are costly to travel to, participate in and staff and require a large amount of product to succeed. Transportation of wares and display equipment is no easy matter and I don’t think my ’98 hatch is going to cut the mustard anymore. I'd love to have a van to travel to future events.
So please pledge now to help put my pottery in the hands of those that appreciate beautifully crafted, functional wares.
I will be eternally grateful for your assistance in this next stage in my ceramic career.

Personalised Lustre Cup
Any word/s of 8 letters or less handwritten in gold on a stoneware cup. Lustre is a ceramic material fired onto the glazed surface of a piece. Yep - it's real gold. You could chose a special word for home or get creative in the workplace. A great gift for family, friend or loved one. Names, in-jokes, swear words, I'll write anything in bling ... well... so long as it's not racist, sexist or offensive to any minority of course.
