From the mind of Billy Minshull-Gardner comes the The Rosewood Gladiator, a 10 minute horror film, that will captivate audiences by taking them on a journey in to the world of an imaginative boy who struggles with the distinction between fantasy and reality. With previous Pozible funded projects" Cocoon" and "Tea for the Ratcatcher" becoming great successes, Billy joins a talented crew to bring The Rosewood Gladiator to life. SYNOPSIS

The Rosewood Gladiator is a short horror film about Patrick, a twelve year old boy struggling with the distinction between fantasy and reality, whose own imagination allows a mysterious creature to creep into his world and make a horrifying request. Vowing to withstand the creature's will, Patrick embarks on a harrowing journey to destroy the creature and protect his family. But can he outwit such an overwhelmingly powerful and evil being? 

BUDGET

Your donations will go directly towards making this film the best film it can be. A great deal of the budget has been allocated to building the best possible production values and ensuring that we are able to include the props, costumes, special effects makeup and set dressing that will bring the story to life. Making our target goal over the next 30 days will also help in terms of logistics, by going towards additional equipment and feeding our amazing cast and crew. To show our appreciation for your support, there are a variety of limited edition rewards, including DVDs, posters and associate producer credits. 

Whilst we have a $1,000 target, we are hoping to go beyond that figure so that we can extend our budget to a professional post production process. 

CREW

Billy Minshull-Gardner (Writer/Director)

Billy discovered his passion for filmmaking during his high school years, whilst acting in an amateur theatre company. In 2012, he completed an Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media, where he worked on a number of short films and developed a strong talent for directing, a role that he plans to pursue a career in. He is currently in the process of completing a Bachelor of Film & Television at Swinburne University of Technology.

Stefan Johannesen (Producer)

With previous films being screened at film festivals across Australia, Stefan joins Billy Minshull-Gardner and our talented in bringing The Rosewood Gladiator to life. After three years of developing his skills in TAFE, including Advanced Diploma in Screen & Media and a Certificate in Interactive Digital Media, Stefan continues to study the world of film through the Bachelor of Film & Television.

Madison Pelzer (Director of Photography)

Madison was drawn to camera's at a young age and begun working on large film projects as a camera operator at the age of 13. Pursuing her dream to become a cinematographer, she is now currently in her 3rd year of Swinburne's Bachelor of Film and Television. Her love for horror and thriller films brought her on board with this project and she is more then excited to make this amazing film.

Kris Krunes (Art Director)

Melbourne based writer and artist, Kris has worked on several local and international short films over the past 3 years. She is excited to return to work in 2013 as Art Director on The Rosewood Gladiator whilst completing a Bachelor of Film and Television at Swinburne University of Technology.

Idil Somali (Sound Designer)

After graduating music school in Turkey, Idil decided to continue her education of Film and TV in Australia. Now Idil continues her education in Swinburne University and studying Bachelor Film and TV. With many experiences, Idil decided to do sound design on her career and now joins Billy Minshull-Gardner's film "The Rosewood Gladiator" as a sound designer.
