Following their wildly successful 2018 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, 63 Globes are producing Othello for their 2019 Shakespearean season.
Shakespeare's tragedy is more timely than ever in the current cultural climate. Exploring themes of racism, isolation, toxic masculinity, domestic violence and "fake news", Othello still impacts audiences in the most raw, emotional way.
As with their previous production, 63 Globes are drawing on current pop culture to make Othello enthralling and accessible. Both director and cadt have a deep understanding of Shakespeare's text and are keen to pass this knowledge on.
