My name is Kristin McLean; I'm the writer/director for The Quest. Over the past two years whilst studying at film school (JMC Academy, Melbourne) I have been inspired to write an enchanting, mystical and compelling story based in a far away magical land. My idea stemmed from a love of nature, mystical and mythical creatures, puppetry, neon festival art, 80's style films, and anything and everything weird and imaginative!
Synopsis
Elvin is a small mythical creature faced with the task of saving his land and people. Above his village grows a giant magical Sequoia tree, which breathes life to all that is below. However the tree begins to die and it is only a matter of time before everything perishes with it. With little time on his hands Elvin gathers all his courage and sets on his mission. With danger in sight Elvin reaches new heights of bravery by conquering the trees evil natives.
