Blue Games as in ‘off-colour’, as in ‘crude’, ‘bawdy’, ‘vulgar’ games – for sport. Blue Games as in a story about a group of women who’ve inherited the wasteland of rural Victoria as the coastline went to rot, and about the soldiers that visit them for sex.
A story about a woman’s path to wholeness in a world where her body is currency and each man is a comfort – until a child soldier is brought to camp for her to break in.

Blue Games is a short film written and directed by Eugenie Muggleton and explores one woman's search for independence, comfort, and safety, set against a war-torn wasteland. It was filmed over November and December of 2015 in the beautiful landscapes of the Southern Grampians.

We are aiming for $3000 to get us on our way - but hopefully with your help we can reach even higher!
Initially we were fighting to complete this film before our director and cinematographer both move to New York City. However we have decided to give this film the space it deserves to be completed and so will take as much time as required to edit, design sound, colour, and score the film.
This does mean our director Eugenie will be communicating with our editor and our sound designer from overseas - however we believe this won't hinder us at all in the creative process, and we are all looking forward to many late night Skype meetings over the next two months!
