This project is all about raising the standard of customer service in Australia (and New Zealand) so that as consumers we are served well, treated with dignity and respect and feel the connection that we all crave for in our daily interactions.

Our Story
Through my years working in and around customer service I have been saddened by the way business treat their customers. Most business owners and managers just don't understand the simple formula...

Happy Customers + Happy Staff = $$$ Flowing = Successful Business = Happy Owner & Shareholders

By providing good, great or exceptional customer service, businesses are more likely to retain their customers, receive referrals and over time not have to spend so much, if any at all on marketing and sales. Instead they focus on revenue and profits with the customer's interests being left as a final thought, if thought of at all.

Internationally, Australia (and New Zealand) are looked upon as having some of the worst customer service in the Western World and it is hurting our combined reputation and economies. We ought to be standing tall and proud.

But this is not about blaming big or small business for poor customer service. Consumers often accept poor or mediocre service when they interact with businesses whether shopping or calling up for service. What consumers don't understand is that they have a voice and that voice can be powerful when they are gathered into a tribe of passionate consumers and united under the one powerful message that we as consumers are are not willing to accept mediocrity any more, we want to be served with dignity and respect.

I'm not willing to sit back and let this continue. What we are doing is creating a passionate tribe of consumers who are willing to raise their voice and keep businesses accountable to a new minimum standard of customer service, a minimum standard that businesses will know and understand. At the same time we are training up businesses to that new level of service so they become a shining light in a sea of mediocrity which will bring positive and long lasting beneficial effects of increased patronage and sales. Really, this is a WIN/WIN/WIN solution for all involved.

Our Social Business
We are a social enterprise which has been put together with the sole purpose of transforming our daily interactions from one of mediocrity to one of connectedness through a new standard in customer service. We have a revolutionary and yet sound business model that has been given the thumbs up by successful entrepreneurs and visionaries including the amazing Mia Munro (one of my team) and John Assaraf from The Secret. With your help we will raise the standard of customer service in Australia and keep business accountable and all enjoy the benefits of better service and enjoyment. This will have a flow-on effect for New Zealand too.



The Challenges

Our two greatest obstacles are:

1. Not being able to get the message out to enough people in order to raise the money to develop the technology. Our plan is to contact owners of businesses who already provide good customer service and provide an incentive to them, to have them involved in this campaign to raise their standard from good to great and we'll be happy to highlight and promote them as early adopters and leaders so that our tribe of passionate consumers have businesses that they can start to frequent and rate.

2. Not being able to get enough consumers involved to rate and give feedback to businesses and therefore to keep businesses accountable to our new standard of service. Our plan is to a) be prominent in the media, particularly on radio to get the message across and b) to give incentives to consumers such as prizes, discounts, special offers, gifts and badges for participation and for spreading the word.
