My Pozible project is a small business start up. I had the idea to start my own beef jerky company about 3 years ago, and it's been in the making since then. During this time, I've been researching and developing my beef jerky product, checking out what's available in the shops (mostly rubbish sub-standard products) and developing my own ideas and flavours. It's taken me about 3 years to get a product ready and packaged up to sell to the market! I've spent a fair amount of cash on the project already - the testing and trialling of different meats, recipes, finding suppliers, packaging companies, designs and all the other things that you don't really know about before you start you're own company!

I estimate that I'll need $5000 donated to my project. This will cover the cost of 5000 bags for packaging ($2000) and I'll need about $2000 for a large order of some jerky from my supplier. I'll also need to invest in a scooter so I can make deliveries too! The cash would give us the kick start we need, so we can get our beef jerky out to the shops, and we can start re-investing the capital into the business and help it grow. Opportunities are popping up all over the city to stock the jerky, and we need some cash to help us meet the demand.

I have a website: www.bezerkyjerky.com which I have recently updated, to allow for online purchases etc. Also my facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/BezerkyJerky charts our history on our timeline from the very beginning. It also shows a couple of shops where we sell Bezerky Jerky and the shop owners who gave us a chance, which has been great fun!

I have a background in graphic design and marketing, so I've designed the logo and all associated packaging and advertising, website etc. I've included this knowledge as part of the reward package - I can help people who have start up businesses, and I can guide them in how to look professional, have a strong brand and stand out in the crowded marketplace. I always get comments on our packaging on how much people love it. It's made from a nice thick metallic material that feels like real quality. We've done a fair bit of market research and testing with our jerky, and the couple of shops and bars we are in, are all selling out pretty quickly, which is a great sign for the future.

Hopefully with some investment, we can make it to the next level!

Well after a few weeks we have managed to get into the City Convenience stores! It's so exciting to be making progress in the mainstream retail outlets, and we hope to go on further from here. Many thanks to our supporters, we hope to keep going and spread the word! There will be a lot of work to do over the next few weeks to get more cash in for our funding on Pozible, but we'll get there!
