Welcome to the crowdfunding campaign for Stronger Together, a heartfelt LGBTQ+ teen drama series that follows Jamie, a quiet teenager who has just moved from Sydney and is trying to find his place in a new world. What starts as a difficult adjustment quickly turns into something more meaningful when he meets Alex, a classmate who helps him feel seen, understood, and maybe even something more than friendship.

On the surface, Jamie is just trying to survive a new school, new people, and the pressure of starting over. But underneath, he’s struggling with identity, loneliness, and the fear of not fitting in. As his connection with Alex grows, Jamie is forced to navigate confusing emotions, unspoken feelings, and the reality of what it means to care about someone in a way he’s never experienced before.

Stronger Together is a story about connection, self-discovery, and the quiet moments that change everything. Each episode is approximately 6 minutes long, designed to be short, emotional, and impactful while still telling a full and meaningful story. This project is deeply inspired by the importance of LGBTQ+ representation in teen storytelling, especially narratives that feel real, grounded, and honest.

At its core, this series is about the idea that no one has to figure everything out alone.

Why This Story Matters

About the Crew

Blake Baxter | Writer / Director / Producer | (He/Him)

Blake Baxter is a 17year-old filmmaker and the founder of Unspoken Films AU. Stronger Together is his debut series as a writer, director, and producer. The project is deeply personal, inspired by his passion for storytelling and LGBTQ+ representation in teen media.

Blake created Stronger Together because he wanted to tell a story that feels honest, emotional, and relatable for young people navigating identity and connection. As both the creator and lead actor playing Jamie, he brings a personal understanding of the character’s journey into the series.

For Blake, this project represents the beginning of his filmmaking journey and a chance to build something meaningful with a young creative team.

Haylee McPhan | Co-Director | (She/Her)

Haylee McPhan is the co-director of Stronger Together and plays a key role in shaping the emotional and visual storytelling of the series. Her creative input helps bring balance, clarity, and depth to the project, supporting both the performances and the overall direction of each episode.

Haylee works closely with Blake to ensure the story remains authentic, emotionally grounded, and engaging for audiences. Her collaboration is an essential part of bringing Stronger Together to life.
