Now we wait till they return and it's off to the Melbourne Uke Festival... (book here) for the first official launch. As we decided to go the distance and record 12 tracks to make the project an album, we have in course, decided to go with an 'album' packaging design... in short, all the extra time and effort has escalated the costs of the project. So if you are feeling generous,... go ahead and support us.

You did it! We feel so supported right now. We will make such a great recording now that we can prepare for the next week without stressing about paying the bill. Thank you, Thank you Thank you. Thank you to infinity!!

Miss Amber & Stukulele are ready to start work on a full length album... though we will be approaching this in two stages. First we would like to have 5 tracks recorded and packaged as an EP in order to take it to the Melbourne Ukulele Festival in March of this year.

This approach is good for 2 reasons; Firstly, we will have a calling card to help us with further live engagements and secondly, to give us the confidence and experience to complete phase two... the other 6 tracks.

We have 3 strong originals ready and 2 tasty covers that we intend to record with our co-hort Rod Coe on double bass with minimal overdubs. Keeping it simple and real. Here's one of the Tunes we will be recording... written with our Daughter Rose : Paris Unicorn.

So this will be our limited release debut recording. Quite special indeed. You can help it become for real and own a copy in the process.

How This Works

If we can pay cash we will be given very reasonable rates for a great little studio and producer / engineer who can do the mastering of the first 5 tracks as well:

$1300 for 3 days studio time.
$ 350 for Bass Player
$ 550 to manufacture 250 units with sleeve
$ 450 15% to pozible.com
$ 350 incidentals and blow outs

I guess the main risks is not being in good health for the day of the recording, so we will be living healthily and and practicing as often as possible so we can deliver the goods on the day. Then...I guess if we don't make the target all this effort will be in vain as we don't have any inheritance to cash in or anything like that... we pretty much live hand to mouth. So fingers crossed you see us as worthy of your support.
