Following our successful exploration of modern existential clowning in our original, highly successful, “Dos or Duo” show, we are now developing DOS or DUO “Deux” The premier is to be staged in the 2012 Melbourne Fringe Festival. To do this we need a little help. In this show we plan to incorporate live music from Duo (with a little….uhmm… assistance from Dos). We are also designing new props that require some development, and a new set. So that’s where you come in……help us stage this new work, help us give you the best Dos or Duo Deux we can, and be a part of something great!
Here's a brief budget breakdown, your help will be put towards
1.Props including an a dressing for the the aerial ropes involving bicycle wheels and rigging.2.Musical techinical equipment for looping and playback of live music.3. Advertising for the upcoming show.

DOS or DUO
A delightfully clever physical farce, Dos or Duo brings comedy to the circus in truly charming and unique style.Using brilliantly crafted clowning, acrobatics and aerials, Dos or Duo is an absurd and intelligent exploration of the world of two lost and endearing characters, armed only with each other, some rope and a piece of chalk.
Contemplating meaning within their indefinable and curious surroundings, this is the kind of high jinx that might take place if Charlie Chaplin and Harpo Marx met Samuel Beckett at the circus.
The endearingly foolish characters and sharp acrobatic skills are outstanding in this ingeniously timed and unadorned yet striking production, featuring two of Australia’s most energetic and versatile circus performers.
Stuart Christie and Kane Petersen both trained their art at Australia’s National Institute of Circus Arts in Melbourne. Between them they have a wealth of international experience, including Kage Physical Theatre, Circus Oz, Circus Monoxide and Circus Risqué.
Director David Woods is an actor, director, and writer. He is one half of the critically acclaimed London based performance group Ridiculusmus (“clever and bleakly hilarious. A small but brilliant show,” Lyn Gardner, The Guardian)
Premiered at the 2009 Melbourne Fringe - nominated for Best Circus Show and received a Highly Commended award. Also Nominated for Best Circus at Adelaide Fringe 2010.
Leaves the audience "...laughing, cheering and wanting to see more."
Anne-Marie Peard (Sometimes Melbourne).
These two performers show that the Bauhaus saying “less is more” is still valid, even in performing arts. I was delighted by their act and pleasantly surprised by the fact that it transcends age. I might go another ‘dos’ times to see them, that’s how much I enjoyed their show.

Now for DOS or DUO "Deux"
“Charlie Chaplin andEdward Wood meet Samuel Beckett at the circus.”
Following our successful exploration of modern existential clowning in our original, highly successful, “Dos or Duo” show, we are now creating DOS or DUO “DEUX” Dos or Duo Deux will again be a show in which nothing and everything happens, despite following a simple narrative. It is a show about two lost and endearing characters, DOS and DUO.
Dos promises an innovative, cutting edge, multi award winning spectacular, bound for international acclaim. Duo promises hybrid......?
Dos wants to do a new show but Duo won’t do it unless it’s new and different.
What unfolds are a series of absurdist comic routines which a strung together in a seamless, almost non-narrative, flow. High-level circus skills, live music and contemporary clowning techniques are interwoven to create the illusion of a pointless moment, occasionally highlighted by surprising moments of impressive skill display, and when least expected… plot developments.
