Motive Melbourne and Paper-Deer have teamed up to offer their creative talents to make a film clip for lucky Melbourne songstress, Susy Blue!
In this community project, a bunch of creative types such as film makers, writers, artists are volunteering their time and talents to make a film clip for Susy Blue's song, Circus. Susy Blue has combined her diverse musical paths to create her own unique genre of cabaret folk. Informed by the ragtag calamity of Irish music, blessed with bluegrass vibes, infused with sly whimsy, shaken by the heart-racing impetus of klezmer and the topped with sultry possibilities of jazz, Susy Blue keeps her growing audience guessing. The ball is rolling full steam, ideas have been bounced at meetings, the story has been written, plans are in action. Imagine circus tents, mechanical puppet theatres, waltzing pirates, mermaids, cardboard sets.... A local primary school has gotten on board, they're excited, we're excited!
All we need is a little bit of money for public liability and equipment insurance, some food for the day of shooting, and for costume, hair and make-up supplies.
