I am a Melbourne film maker and performance artist. In June of this year I premiered my short film DEEP a black comedy about a misfortunate group of friends. When a celebration gets out of hand, a roller-coaster of events unfold and the group must decide what to do with the dead body of a drug dealer. It includes an A list A class cast, Scott Major(Neighbours), Paul O'brien(Home & Away, Underbelly), Vanessa Moltzen and Peter Flaherty, also featuring Louise Joy McCrae, Carolyn Rey and Michael Webhe
It has been very well received. It won best audience vote at acclaimed short film screening event 'Comfortable Shorts' but now I would like to put it to the festival circuit. I have found this can be an expensive process as the submission fees to festivals one after another can add up. I haven't been able to afford entering it in as many as I would like. It is a self funded film and the spending was quite extensive as I paid for location, accommodation, catering, equipment and all key crew members. I even paid the actors a handsome sum by short film standards, And then of course there was post production costs. The money spent gave it a good production value but now my funds are depleted and I am finding the film is not getting the best chances as I miss deadlines to festivals. I want to give the film the best opportunity. It is only fair to all who were involved. my pledge goal is only small as i just need a little bit of help with funds so i can enter it into up to 20 key festivals that i am keen on getting it to. I'm hoping all who were involved in the film, friends and fans that would like to help me get it out there will give even $1 to see it in festivals in 2012. Please help me reach my pledge goal and beyond. My sincere thanks
