SMOKE, DUST & SAND, a short film
SMOKE, DUST and SAND is the graduating short film by 2016 Swinburne Students.
Sam, 10, is a young downtrodden boy who escapes his overwhelming home life by building sandcastles with his friend, Dita. When Dita unexpectedly moves away, Sam finds himself having to face his problems alone.
Produced by Annabel Clayton & Nikki Richardson, and written & directed by Swinburne University student April Lampre, ‘Smoke, Dust and Sand’ will be a 10 minute surreal drama that explores the dynamics of first love and a mother/son relationship. The film deals with themes of loss, friendship and mental difference.
We will be shooting for 5 days in September in two wonderful locations – an old family home and a beautiful beach in South Gippsland.
We have a fantastic team on board for this film and we're all really excited to get started - but we need your help!!

How The Funds Will Be Used

- Lenses: Our awesome cinematographer Drew Collins has chosen the equipment that will make our film look as stunning as possible.
- Locations: These are obviously essential!
- Food: For our hard working crew and our wonderful cast!
- Festival Entry Fees: So you can see your generosity on the big screen!
