Multicultural Me

Dear Friends,
'Multicultural Me' is an illustrated book teaching children how to celebrate cultural diversity and friendship.
I have written this 8-verse poem to initiate conversations amongst young people about who they are, what their different cultural backgrounds are and how they can become friends.
I hope you will join me in celebrating our similarities and differences with the young people of Australia.

Multicultural Me would not be possible without Jason Trevenen’s amazing talent – and patience! He is a Perth-based freelance artist who used to work for Walt Disney Animation Australia. He has spent the last year creating 'Multicultural Me's funny characters and scenes.

Sneak Peek - First Day at School

It is the first day of school and our young friends are a little unsure of each other.

How The Funds Will Be Used
Printing hard cover copies locally in Perth - ~$10 000 (I do not know what the response will be yet so I am keeping everything local for now).
The rest of the funds ($5 000) will be used for:
- Final graphic design and layout
- Final editing and proof-reading
- Marketing, PR and the official launch event
- Professional speaker fees (Jason and I already work as speakers in schools)
- Postage (So we can get these rewards to you!)
The Challenges
This 'self-publishing via crowd funding' experience is quite terrifying, but I am one step closer to sharing 'Multicultural Me' with the children who inspired it.
*If we do not raise the target amount I will print fewer books and send them to a few schools around Australia (as described in the rewards). I hope you keep visiting our Multicultural Me website and please send an email if you have other enquiries.
