Motus Collective (Felicity Boyd & Zoe Gay) have worked tirelessly over the past 5 years to create performance and development opportunties for South Australian based and trained artists. The collective started as a platform for connection and sharing, filling a need for community within the Adelaide dance scene. Motus Collective quickly went onto devising and creating performances, working closely with inter-disciplinary artists to create unique works that promote the thriving arts scene in South Australia.

We are so excited to have the opportuntity to present 'The Leftovers' at the Adelaide Festival Centre in 2024, an opportunity we feel extremely grateful for. This is a huge stepping stone for South Australian emerging and mid-career artists, to be seen on one of Adelaide's most iconic stages.

'The Leftovers' first came to fruition in 2022, and since then has seen multiple renditions and developments. The work explores what it means to be human, how the decisions we make and the people we meet along the way impact us. The focus of the work is on a strong and unique physicality, highlighting the immense skill of four dancers (Felicity Boyd, Tayla Hoadley, Sophie Hollingworth, Isobel Stolisnki). These ideas are also explored through a sculptural installaion in the space by artist, Nicholas Hanisch, standing as shells and physical memories of the people we once were, and will in turn become again.

We wouldn't be where we are today without the support of our community. With your help we can continue to work to provide performance opportunities for South Australian artists, and continue to work to promote the thriving culture of performing arts we have in our own backyard. Your contribution will be directly going towards the artists involved and the delivery of the performance season.
