The Sales Man

Written and Directed by William Carnahan, 'The Sales Man' is a Comedy Short Film about an aging salesman caught up in the monotonous routine of life who is forced out of his bubble when his jobs security is threatened, and he must learn to adapt with the times or lose his career. 

'The Sales Man' is created by amazing crew from JMC Academy set to be filmed in 2021.

Hi, I’m Will the Director of this here little short film, you might have heard of me from such things as…. Yeah, nah you’ve definitely not heard of me from anything I mean come on I’m in my 3rd trimester of Uni give me some time aye get off my back about it. Anyways ‘The Sales Man’ is a little something I created just for you the person reading this right now, not for anyone else, in this moment you are the only person that matters. I hope you have a good day… actually you know what why don’t you go and have yourself a good year. Ok well I’ll catch you on the flip side, take it easy.

Producer - Tasha Jade

Hey, my name is Tash and I’m the producer on 'The Sales Man'! This is my first time producing and I’m so excited to help bring this story to life with my amazing crew. I started at JMC to learn how to create films that can help bring some enjoyment into whoever watches them. With so many opportunities at JMC I've come to love getting a film up and running which is why I'm so excited to bring 'The Sales Man' to life by producing it.

Director of Photography (DOP) - Alex Beecheno

My Name is Alex and I’m so proud to be part of the team within 'The Sales Man' Film at JMC Academy. I am the Cinematographer for this film and I’m so happy that I have been given the chance to have such a pivotal role in the creation of this film. I’m a 20 year old Film and Media student and have found the wonder of filmmaking through my YouTube Channel and my love of movies. As the Cinematographer I will be able to creative the vision of the director while still being able to have creative oversight and how the film looks and feel.

1st Assistant Director (1st AD) - Craig Kavanagh

Hi, I'm Craig and I'm the Assistant Director on 'The Sales Man'.  I'm excited to be working with a group of talented creatives on this clever comedy written by Will Carnahan.  I came to JMC to study film and tv because I'm an avid film fan and movie buff. With all the opportunities available at JMC I'm excited to create a short film.

Production Design - Jarred Madsen

Hey! I'm Jarred and I'm the production designer for 'The Sales Man'! This is my first time trying out production design but I can't wait to use it as an opportunity to show that I can do much more than being behind the camera! I came to JMC to learn all about the film industry and I'm so keen to show everyone watching just how much I've learned!

Editor - Kelsey Pickard-Clark

Hey I’m Kelsey Pickard-Clark and I am currently studying a bachelor of film and television production at JMC Academy. I am lucky enough to be the editor on the short film 'The Sales Man'. I started editing fan videos of my favourite tv shows and movies as a teenager and quickly realised my passion for story telling through the use of editing film. I’m so excited to be working with such a great team on this short film and can’t wait to not only see but be apart of the final product.

Filmmaking is a creative industry that can require a lot of funding to help bring a project to life, student films in particular. This is why we are greatful for the generosity of others for giving our page a view and helping bring The Sales Man  to life. Any amount you can spare, no matter how little it may seem, will go a long way in allowing us to create the film we want to make.
