SEBASTIAN HAWKS Creature Hunter is an action /adventure series based around a turn-of-the-century professional adventurer and creature hunter.
He’s a swashbuckling hero who is part ancient historian and part red-blooded Englishman explorer. In 1900, Her Majesty Queen Victoria enlists the services of English Lord and legendary explorer – Sebastian Hawks – to hunt down and capture twelve mythical creatures for the burgeoning British Museum. When captured, these creatures are intended for a private collection that will be unlike any other in the Empire. Along with his mentor Sir Royston C. Hammersbottom (who supplies him with maps, weapons and gadgets) he is accompanied by his trusted butler, Benoit Carné. Benoit also happens to be an expert in martial arts, mechanics and fine wine. Sebastian accepts the challenge and must race to outwit, out fly, outsmart and outgun his nefarious and cunning competitors for these most rare and dangerous prizes.
So if you love old-fashioned high adventure, monsters and heroes and villains, all set in the dazzling Victorian era then you’ll love this book.
Tristan Jones has quickly made his mark in the comics industry following a critically acclaimed run on Mirage Studios’ “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” series that has since led to further comic smashes as a part of the creative team on IDW’s “Ghostbusters” ongoing series and the recent “Infestation: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”series, also released through IDW. Working on everything from scripts, to interior art, to covers, Tristan’s work will also be seen in just about every discipline across a number of titles from various publishers in 2012.
Chris DiBari is an amazing artist who broke into the industry doing a cover for DC Comics “Robin” for the “No Man’s Land” event. Shortly thereafter, he did some work for Marvel Comics “Deadpool”. Chris has also done design work for Hasbro, Art Asylum Toys and 4 Kids Productions TMNT animated. In 2005 Chris co-created and the drew “The Hunger” from Markosia. He’s recently been doing work for Top Cow (The Crazies, Pilot Season 2011; Misdirection and CUTTER). Other credits include The Warriors and Pale Horse for BOOM! Studios.
Greg Mclean is primarily known as a filmmaker, having written, directed and produced the horror sensation WOLF CREEK and the thriller; ROGUE. Greg recently founded Wolf Creek Pictures, a company dedicated to producing high quality genre films with new directors. The western RED HILL was the company’s first feature with the sci-fi thriller CRAWLSPACE due for release in November. A long time comic book fan, Diezelpunk was established to tell exciting stories in the comic book realm and bring together creators, writers and artists in a collaborative publishing venture.
