THE FILM
This project started off as a collection of images that I wanted to shoot and create a sensory exploration through the use of images and sound. It is now evolved into the short film KINGS.
It is a short atmospheric moment involving two Australian men in a Holden Kingswood, on their way to commit an armed robbery. The two men sit through a silent car journey as the story is paralleled by an empty petrol station foyer. As they robbery takes place, the intentions of one of the males becomes clear in a sorrowing act of desperation.
This raw cinematic experience will be created through the use of Kodak Super16mm Motion Picture Stock and HighSpeed Arri SR3 Camera Production Kit.
The film stars John Brumpton (Romper Stomper, Gettin' Square, The Hunter, Last Ride) as the Driver and Dame Hill (Frank Theatre Company) as the Passenger.

WHY WE NEED TO RAISE THE MONEY?
This film is 80% self-funded. We just need to raise the last amount to allow for a professional sound mix so that KINGS can get itself out onto the world festival circuit for the end of 2012 and 2013. The Pozible campaign will allow us to budget for a sound mix for the best cinematic experience possible for KINGS and get us entry into 10-15 festivals both nationally and internationally.
