When a dream of peace blends with performance, Angels will dance.
"Peace Angels - walking light" is THE most inspirational and heartwarming project I've EVER been involved in. I believe the world really will benefit from the Peace Angels flying overseas to stage Peace Event performances in Europe and USA, and we are documenting their progress!
This documentary "Peace Angels - walking light" has been in production since August 2011 - all self funded. Now events have arisen where we need to call for urgent support, as well as start to let the world know what the Peace Angels are doing, and what the film is all about.
As filmmakers passionate about good causes, we have been inspired by the successful event and documentary of Peace One Day. Now, we're very excited to be on this next phase of our filmmaking process with the Peace Angels - after shooting for months already, much editing, and now approaching broadcasters - with the main events about to unfold.
About the Peace Angels
The mission of the Peace Angels is to celebrate and anchor peace in cities all over the world – one city at a time.
The Peace Angels, a spiritually focused theatre company, was born after a dream of angels that artistic director, Antoinette Sampson, had over a decade ago. Antoinette has long dreamed of using theatre, imagery, and art to spread a message of hope and peace throughout the world.
Peace Angels is the first step towards the creation of a transformational theatre company in Australia. Transformational theatre combines traditional theatre-making with setting the intention that it will raise consciousness, open the hearts and minds of its audience and contribute towards the changing attitudes and values taking place around the world at the moment for a more loving, peaceful way of life for everyone.
The Peace Angels' message of hope, unity and peace is exactly what the world needs to hear right now. You are invited to be part of this movement for peace. Become a Peace Angel supporter. Make small gestures for peace every day.
We must emphasize that this is NOT about religion. The Peace Angels are a spiritually based theatre group who are also doing much personal self development work - as well as artistic collaboration - in order to embody and radiate an "Angelic" presence. Nobody is trying to convert anyone to anything... it is a selfless service to humanity... just as spiritual angelic beings do. Personally, I am in constant awe and respect for the Peace Angels integrity, love, compassion, and continual gratitude and selfless giving.

About the Documentary
Some background...
The Peace Angels' first spectacular multi-faith event held in Hyde Park, Sydney was staged successfully in September, 2011. Now in 2012, the Peace Angels are endeavouring to appear in Dublin, Washington, New York and also Europe later in the year. One of the team, Sarah Jane (on the right in photo above), will be liaising on behalf of the Peace Angels to arrange Peace Event performances overseas in the near future, with crucial meetings planned for early March 2012.
Also, to help the Peace Angels achieve their mission to "anchor and celebrate peace", Antoinette is currently seeking out visionary opinion makers, artists and ambassadors for peace. We will be updating news as it happens on the blog and updates here.
Together, they will explore the social and spiritual impact of the Peace Angels on a world stage. This investigation in the documentary also tackles the hard questions around creating peace in our world, and we don't quite know who that will lead us to as yet.

Antoinette's vision for the Peace Angels has always been incredibly ambitious - and so we also have to match that in the depth and scope of the final documentary, and the calibre of people who are included as guest interviewees. This Pozible project is our first tentative, but joyous, foray into the arena of crowdfunding. We hope you can share our vision - and we'd be happy to answer any questions you may have too.
As time is so tight before we need to travel in early March, it would be very helpful if we could reach an over-subscription as soon as possible. Our budget is $30,000 to achieve what we need to do properly in March and April. At this point, we have no guarantee of any Government funding, or broadcaster support, or any "Angel Investors" who may underwrite the cost... so this Pozible project is very important.
As you can imagine our total budget is very much higher, so we look to your generosity to make this next step successful. There are many overseas expenses, air travel, as well as equipment hire, final post production, animations, special effects, music licences, photo library and archival video materials to purchase... even carbon offsets :-) it all adds up very quickly.
We have already covered the spectacular Sydney event and its many preparations and that has already cost much more than we hoped. Now, we need to send our director and crew along to capture some important meetings with high profile people - or at the very least - one of us should go to shoot. If we receive enough support, we will also extend the travel to interview some of the key people listed above.
You may ask "why such a short turn around?" We were expecting this trip to be mid year, however the Peace Angels' ambassador, Sarah Jane, got word in February that some important meetings are being arranged that soon... so we have to jump fast! PLEASE help us FLY and spread the message of Peace as far and wide as we can.
