Natalie thought she found the man of her dreams but lately there’s a distance growing between them…it might be because he is a zombie.
Not one to give up, Natalie seeks the help of couples therapist Doctor Portman. Can they work through their troubles or is it time to kill the relationship, before they kill each other?
A darkly comic tale that reminds us that the course to true love never runs smooth, after all, sometimes love bites….and sometimes it eats your brains.
The story of Therapy?
‘Therapy’ is a new short film by up and coming Writer / Director - Todd Farley.
The story behind ‘Therapy’ began in the early months of 2013. A lifelong film buff, Todd had just completed his Film and Television studies at RMIT and was looking for his next project which would bring all of his skills together, showcase the talents of the various creatives he’d collaborated with throughout his studies, and launch his career.
Ever since the age of 10, Todd has had a fascination with zombies. He thought he could create a film that not only had a thrilling storyline but also helped fulfil his childhood dream of hanging out with a zombie. He would be living two dreams at once – winning! Thus,‘Therapy’ was born!
With the script taking shape, casting began with Ella Bourne taking on the role of Natalie, Kelley Kerr Young as Doctor Portman and Kyle Lochner as everyone’s favourite undead love interest The Zombie.
Over several months, Kate Murphy used her skills and Kyle tested his patience – sometimes having to sit still and breathe through a straw as plaster set - to create incredible zombie casts.
The seven day shoot was undertaken in Melbourne in March and brought together a dream cast and crew of more than 21 people.
And now the film is approaching the finish line in post-production and we’re asking you to get on board and help us get there!

Why is this project important to Todd Farley
This short film is a narrative that has been a dream of Todd's for a long time and has now become a reality. People have questioned and laughed at him for wanting to pursue a career in directing but he is proud of the fact that he's actually doing it. This film is an example of personal commitment. He knows he couldn't have made this film without the love and support of his family, friends, cast and crew.
Why should people support this film?
The main reason people should support this short film is not the fact that the film poster looks great but the fact that it's a great film in its own right and an example of what can be achieved when passionate and talented people come together.
The film is shot and is looking amazing and we are seeking support to assist us in finalising the film and presenting it to the world. It’s also a great launching point for the world to be exposed to emerging Australian short films. Supporters can think to themselves as contributors to emerging Australian film makers and are playing a role in supporting new Australian talent. This film is in Post-Production and an official premiere is scheduled for 23 November 2014
It’s part relationship drama, part zombie apocalypse comedy, part thriller – and we want you to be part of it!
