JOIN US IN GETTING THIS SKEEEE-RUMPTIOUS PLAY OFF THE GROUND
We have taken on a massive task with our very first production and wouldn't have it any other way.
That Pretty Pretty; or, The Rape play has created very strong opinions with audiences where ever it has been put on around the world and we plan on taking it one step further when we become the first Australian company to produce this play.
We have a fantastic cast of very exciting, physical actors about to begin rehearsing under the direction of the very talented Netta Yashchin and will be opening this truly epic piece on February 7th 2012 at the Tap Gallery in Darlinghurst and running until the 18th of February.
A play heavy on props, sets, costumes as well as audio and visual effects we are looking to raise $3000 to assist us in covering these essential production elements. All money donated will be used directly for this production as it is going to cost us well above what we are hoping to raise.

ABOUT
THAT PRETTY PRETTY; OR, THE RAPE PLAY
That Pretty Pretty; or, The Rape Play is a fast-paced, aggressive, unpredictable and darkly funny piece of theatre that keeps the audience not knowing what is going to come next.
It quickly moves through different styles from absurdist to natural and a little bit of Harold Pinter thrown in just when you feel you might be getting a grasp on things.
It makes you laugh at some very unfunny subjects with the style of writing and direction.
Without giving too much away the play follows two sets of people - firstly Agnes and Valerie, two women who are on a rampage across the U.S. killing men and writing a blog about their adventures, and then there's Owen and his friend Rodney. Owen is writing a screenplay using the blog that the two women are writing as inspiration and when he can't find enough from them to inspire him, he turns to his other form of inspiration ...... His Jane Fonda Workout DVDs ......... or is it just all in Owens head?
That Pretty Pretty; or, The Rape play has absolutely no filters - it is as in your face as theatre comes.

ABOUT WORKHORSE THEATRE CO.
Forming in late 2011 and launching our company officially on the 11th of the 11th 2011 we are an
ensemble of hard-working artists committed to taking great risks, truthfully telling
'the story' and collaborating on all levels to produce thought-provoking
theatre.
We began as a group of actors wanting to improve our skills by getting together weekly to work on and explore great plays by great writers, but after attending the Australian workshop of acclaimed U.S. acting coach Larry Moss and being inspired to create our own work and get these great writings out in the open we decided to put on one production ... which quickly became two ... which even more quickly became WorkHorse Theatre Co.
We intend to hit the scene producing plays that will have audiences leaving the theatre not only discussing the play but debating their own views and opinions on the topics raised in the productions.
We wish to find our niche in the Sydney theatre scene and we plan on being around a long time to come ... This is very much just the beginning.
