When Pastor Sam Kitalya visited Australia in 2013
he attended a Vetamorphus Retreat in Western Australia and immediately
recognised the potential of Vetamorphus for the young people of his home
community- ‘Bushfire’ in Uganda. Through an ongoing relationship with
supporters in Australia, a vision to offer Vetamorphus at Bushfire’s Secondary
school to disciple and prepare young people for Christian ministry has been
realised.
How The Funds Will Be Used
Funds are needed to meet
the cost of Vetamorphus materials (Study Bibles, Workbooks, Journals, basic
stationary supplies) as well as the costs associated with the accredited
certificate.
Students will work towards the Australian award of Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology (30771 QLD, RTO: ACAS 50392)
A significant part of Vetamorphus are the Retreats, and so funds will also be used to provide for these. (Can you imagine what a Vetamorphus retreat might look like in Uganda?!)
*The cost to sponsor a Vetamorphus student at Bushfire in Uganda is $300. We currently have 8 students enrolled. Funds raised beyond our target will allow Vetamorphus Uganda to enrol students for 2015 and beyond.

The Challenges
There are unique challenges associated with the isolation and distance from the Australian Vetamorphus community and the limited funding available to the Bushfire community. Some course ‘tweaking’ will obviously need to occur to ensure the course isculturally relevant for our Ugandan students. Despite this, we are excited about how the Ugandan students and Peer Group Supervisor may be able to contribute to the broader Vetamorphus network.

$300 will fully fund one of our students to complete Vetamoprhus. That student will film you a personalised Thank-you video, which we can then email or post on your Facebook wall.
