ArtSycle is Yolande Robertson, Kristian Glynn and Hamish Galloway.All three are diverse and energetic in the Arts. All with a passion for working with those who live with a Disability. All three believing in breaking the barriers of communication using the Arts.
In July 2016 the current Disability Providers System will be rolled over to the NDIS in Australia. In the past many programs for people living with disability have been coordinated by funding and service requirements. Often programs are set up first, then followed by the participants needs. Our model is participants first and programs will follow.
ArtSycle embodies the current art world through a tactile sensory journey.
ArtSycle has been practiced in an Adult Day Program Centre for people living with disability. Harnessing the idea of recycled furniture to be reborn into an art piece through the artists individual journey.
ArtSycle encourages the journey and supports the participants to create individual pieces that hold their story through art therapy practices and embracing communication beyond verbal.

Innovative art studio, to work with vulnerable people. Crowdfunding, to set up Not-for-profit Community Art Studio.
ArtSycle is Yolande Robertson, Kristian Glynn and Hamish Galloway. All three are diverse and energetic artists. All with a passion, for working with those, who live with a disability. A three month pilot program designed to ignite an all inclusive art studio to support wellbeing within the community.
“It is time programs were developed around individuals rather than people being made to fit programs” Yolande Robertson states.
Using Therapeutic art practices and skilled specialized staff, we welcome all vulnerable people and those living with disability or illness into the studio. The format is based on art activities that build on self esteem, resilience, identity and individuality. Until now these sectors have not been linked with the primary goal of support using art, each sector has worked on its own.
ArtSycle is the initial program designed to be accessible to anyone. Recycling furniture, into new art pieces. The studio will embrace everyone, offering opportunity and individual focus, promoting strengths and abilities for artists to achieve their goals. Opportunities will be available for community groups, organizations, families and therapists to use the space to engage in their artistic goals.
The creator of ArtSycle is Yolande Robertson with a background in Film and Theatre, and art in Disability Day Programs.

Yolande Robertson is a program developer working in the Disability Sector. She is currently doing Masters in Therapeutic Arts Practice at MIECAT with a focus on veterans suffering from PTSD.

How The Funds Will Be Used
In order to set up a legal and safe art room with qualified staff we require funds of:
Not-for-Profit set up - $1200
Rent/Utilities - $4500
Staffing costs/Administration set up/legal - $13400 which will allow for some free promotional sessions and cover costs (as participants in NDIS pay post programs). This is seed capitol. The organization will be self funding after four months.
Insurance - $2200
Advertising - $1500
Art Supplies - $1200
