Beat and Breath
Film
A short film set in Melbourne, rooted in a love of hip-hop music. A young woman's crippling shyness prevents her from ever displaying her talents in public: she is a prodigious drummer. That changes when she meets another woman- a gregarious rapper/busker. The two strike up a musical relationship, and a friendship that holds the potential to become something more...
The film features several scenes of live music-making.
The screenplay for "Beat and Breath" recently won an award from the VCA and the Orloff Family Trust Foundation.
The movie is in the final stages of preproduction and starts shooting on the 28th of July.
