The story is told from the perspective of the four 'figures'. They live within a hand painted mural that spans all four walls of Gabby's bedroom. And so they live within the surreal, colourful world surrounding Gabby's room. Gabby has no idea that she is in fact the only form of entertainment to an opinionated and somewhat bored group of animated onlookers. 

Simply, because we love a good reference, we're hoping to bring you Bridget Jones in the world of the Mighty Boosh!

WHY GIVE US CASH?

We've scripted and finely tuned six episodes of Sex %20 Animation. Episodes are each 3 minutes, easily digestible, though we intend to fill them to the brim with colour, design, music, and of course comedy. With your help, we can bring you the first two episodes of S%20A, which explore a couple of Gabby's more casual forays into the dating world.  

We intend to make you something new and exciting. Gabby's bedroom offers a wonderfully broad scope to experiment and celebrate animation. Three of our four Figures live within the vibrant landscape of Gabby's mural. 3D animation will be used to bring the hand painted brushwork to life. The fourth Figure, Loins, is a recurring pattern of a little spiky headed character on Gabby's bedspread. This provides us the exciting opportunity to animate a weird little creature onto the moving fabric covering Gabby as she 'snuggles' her love interests. 

We've begun casting and have gathered an extraordinary crew of talented professionals from within the Western Australian film industry. Read about them below!

HEART ~ Alex Dyson

Alex Dyson (born 22 June 1988) is an Australian radio presenter who, along with co-host Tom Ballard presents the breakfast show on Australian youth radio station Triple J.

Dyson grew up in Warnambool and began his radio career on local community station 3WAY FM. Dyson and Ballard began presenting mid-dawn shifts for Australian youth radio station in 2007. They made their transition to weekend radio in late 2008, taking over from Sam Simmons. On 23 November 2009, Triple J announced that Tom Ballard and Dyson would take over as hosts of the 2010 Breakfast show. Since then Dyson has enjoyed a healthy radio, television and comedy career.

In December 2008, live on Triple J radio, Dyson attempted to break the world record for the most Ferrero Rocher chocolates eaten in one minute, which stood at seven.

MOTHER ~ Dave Callan

Dave Callan, a man known for his delicious Irish brouge , and for representing easily the hairiest comedian in Australia. Dave is best known from his years on Rove Live and hosting Saturday nights on Triple J. After two seasons with Rove, Dave decided to concentrate on his first love, live performance. Callan returned to live work in 2000 with sell out shows.

In 2001, he returned to the world famous festivals with a vengeance: in addition to his own comedy festival show, ‘Dave Callan is Hairy’, he was a part of ‘Jesus Christ, Movie Star’ with two other comics. His other TV credits include O’Loghlin on Saturday night, the ABC’s Standing Up, The Melbourne International Festival Comedy Gala in 2003 and the SBS documentary – King of the Road. Dave has appeared on Spicks and Specks, The Melbourne, International Comedy Festival Gala, The Footy Show, and Hey Hey Its Saturday.

Dave Callan is a versatile and highly entertaining comedian, writer and performer. Dave has also been mistaken for Chewbacca, Jesus and The Wild Man from Borneo.

HEAD ~  Natalie Lewis

Trained in the UK institutions of Salford University and Eastleigh College Natalie since has forged a name for herself in both the UK and Australia as a film and television and live performance actor, as well as a prolific creative in the film industry as a director and producer. Most notably Natalie was cast as the lead Joanne in the film The World According to Liam Lovelland also on televisions Coronation Street. In theatre Natalie has done a wide variety of work with The Big Hoo Haa as well as lead roles in Whale Music and A Taste of Honey.
