The White Feather (Short Film)

Yowie Productions made its debut in 2010 with the short-film 'The Yowie' (available for free viewing on IMDb: http://imdb.com/title/tt1705072/) (Director: Jens Hertzum; writer: Laurence De B. Anderson). The film was received with acclaim, winning Best Cinematography and the Award of Merit at the Los Angeles Cinema Festival of Hollywood. The Yowie also received interest from a European Cable TV network to secure distribution rights and was shown at many film festivals.
Following the success of The Yowie, we have assembled an experienced, award-winning team to work on our next short film, The White Feather. The film is a WW1 Australian period film depicting a patriotic tale of love, war and betrayed family relations using authentic costumes as well as archive footage from the war itself. Filming will take place during Easter 2013 in Canberra, at the historic Kenmore Hospital in Goulburn, NSW and Calthorpes' House, ACT. With Canberra’s Centenary being celebrated in 2013 and the Anzac Centenary in 2014 the film is especially relevant and we are hoping to sign distribution agreements with ABC, SBS, Foxtel and Qantas.
