Melbourne band East Brunswick All Girls Choir ask for your support in getting their debut album 'Seven Drummers' pressed to vinyl. The album will be released in April 2014.

Since the release of mini-album 'Dead Air' in 2009, Melbourne's East Brunswick All Girls Choir have kept themselves rather busy. They've played shows all over Australia and toured New Zealand twice, including the Camp A Low Hum festival in Wellington. Following this, half the band relocated to Berlin for a year in 2011, where songwriter Marcus Hobbs began putting together the songs for their debut album. After playing solo shows in London, all over Europe and touring twice through China, Marcus returned to Melbourne in 2012 and started working with the band on developing the new songs.

The band went into Headgap studios with engineer Casey Rice (Dirty Three, Tortoise) in March 2013 to record the songs that would make up the album, which were then mixed by Casey and the band at Classix Studio. The songs were then sent over to Phoenix, Arizona to be mastered by Roger Seibel at SAE Mastering.

'Dirty Bird' is the first single from the record, released in December 2013, it has already garnered a lot of praise.

"Taking a few notes from fellow noise terrorists The Drones, Dirty Bird is wrought with the kind of tension that ultimately leaves the listener uneasy (and mildly exhausted) at the song’s conclusion"
The Guardian

"There’s more catharsis in the first 25 seconds of East Brunswick All Girls Choir’s new single than most bands can ever hope to muster"
Mess and Noise

"A showcase not only of a tortured sound, but also a great indicator as to what is to come"
Mismatch

"Haunting, harrowing and utterly unique, EBAGC have struck upon a vacuum that the Australian independent scene has been wanting for a long time"
Happy

'Seven Drummers' is the title of the album and it is all ready to go for it's April 2014 release. Mixed, mastered, and artwork completed.

We just need your help to get over the final hurdle - vinyl pressing.

To press the album to vinyl we need $4000 - half of which we have already. Our goal is to raise the remaining $2000. We have some cool rewards including copies of the album, t-shirts, recording sessions with Marcus at his home studio, and the band will even record a cover of any song you choose.

Thanks for your support - Marcus, Rie, Rob and Jen

How The Funds Will Be Used
