Can plants communicate? What would they say if they could speak?

Inspired by the book “The Secret Life of Plants” this visual, interactive, sound installation explores the secret dimensions of the plant kingdom. A consciousness exploration into the worlds of Supernature.








This sonic-visual interactive installation explores the secret dimensions of the plant kingdom. The multifaceted exhibition will be housed in the awe-inspiring venue of Adelaide’s own internationally acclaimed Bicentennial Conservatory, one of the biggest of its kind in the world and the largest single span glasshouse in the Southern Hemisphere.



Within the exotic rainforest environment, one will have the opportunity to explore a series of plants linked with sensitive electrodes measuring the electromagnetic changes on their leaf surfaces. Audience members literally become ‘plant players’ through their touch, proximity and creative interactions with the plants. Data collected is converted into ‘plant music’ allowing the plant kingdom a special voice to communicate back to us through interactive biofeedback. Each plant reacts in a different way to stimuli and responds with its own unique intelligence. Like us, each plant has its own distinct voice!



After a successful 2014 Adelaide Fringe season with ICOSA 44 (exploring new models of ecology, music technology, crystalline communication and sacred geometry), Sacred Resonance and creative team are back with a new interface of technology, humans and ecology. The installation aims to assist in starting a dialogue necessary to re-establish a balanced relationship between humanity with the greater environment, “giving nature the voice to speak”.

Psi-Plantae opening night will feature the Bicentennial Conservatory transformed into an organic oasis of lights, colour and sound. A one-off, live interactive performance by Sacred Resonance (Darren Curtis and Bradley Pitt) and Little Scale (Sebastian Tomczak), will take us on an otherworldly journey experience of bio-soundscapes fused with data signals directly captured and translated from the plants. A beautiful night enveloped in an ethereal aura of a tropical atmosphere.

Stirred by  the elegance of Nature's sacred geometry and subtle vibrational fields, Arts of Consciousness (Jessica McPhee) will be creating a multimedia, visual dialogue exploring humanity’s deep symbiotic relationship with the plant kingdom through an interplay of still and moving image. 

Spiral Architect Productions, in collaboration with Sacred Resonance, takes the art of projection to a new level by digital video mapping an icosahedron – merging ICOSA 44 with Psi-Plantae. This digital 3D multi-protector mapping explores Australian native forest landscapes on the verge of collapse; an invocative image montage of pristine virgin plant life with landscapes of cleared Australian rainforest destruction. Subtlety this piece touches on the current state of affairs of old growth rainforest of Australia.

Discover hidden intelligence of nature coming alive with the bio-symphonic sounds of the plant kingdom. Come, as we take a consciousness exploration into the sounds of Supernature !

FUNDRAISER ART EXHIBITION LAUCH NIGHT:

We had an amazing launch of our fundraiser at Purple Cockatoo Gallery & Gifts. Our new team member Ruby the Bromeliad took centre stage and sang to our guests throughout the night. She was very stimulated by the many guests who blessed us with their presence. The amazing turn out and support has already over $255 pledges on art created by Jessica McPhee for the fundraiser.

If you are in Adelaide most of the art available for pledges can be viewed in the flesh at the exhibition at Purple Cockatoo Gallery & Gifts at 316 Magill Road, Kensington Park, Adelaide, South Australia. The show will run until til late Januray 2015. Ivana, the lovely owner and lead artist of this gallery is there Wed-Sat every week to show you around her amazing collection of local artist creations.
