LIBRARY OF LOVE
THE STORYWe’ve all done it… re-read that favourite romance novel or watched that rom-com we love way too many times. Cinderella, The Great Gatsby, Romeo and Juliet, Pretty Woman, Bridget Jones or even Frozen. These stories are part of our subconscious and inform how we see and feel about love.
But what happens when a character takes this too far?
Library of Love tells the story of Isabelle (Trilby Glover) - a librarian and hopeless romantic, who spends her days reading romance novels and dreaming of true love. But can she pull her nose out of the books long enough to find love in the real world?
This 11-minute musical tale will be a fun, cheeky, entertaining romp around the library and the world of romance and comedy in the style of Mamma Mia, Singin' in the Rain and Joss Whedon's Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.

CAST AND CREW

TRILBY GLOVER has appeared in numerous US television shows - FOX's Glee, Starz’s Crash, NBC’s The New Normal and ABC’s Mistresses - but is best known for her role in the Emmy award-winning miniseries The Starter Wife, opposite Debra Messing. She also appeared in Lifetime's telemovie WILL AND KATE as Kate Middleton's hilariously snobby English nemesis. A seasoned actor, Trilby's feature film credits include RIGHTEOUS KILL (alongside Robert de Niro and Al Pacino), Sony Pictures’ 88 MINUTES (with Al Pacino), the upcoming horror KEEPERS (out late 2015) and the lead role in the supernatural thriller THRESHOLD (Lake Forest Entertainment). We are super excited that Trilby has agreed to fly home to play our leading lady!

ANDREW McFARLANE is one of Australia's hardest working actors known for his roles in... well, everything! From The Flying Doctors, The Sullivans, Division 4 and Patrol Boat, to A Place to Call Home, The Alice, Neighbours, Underbelly, Janet King, Love Child, PlaySchool and Devil's Playground, to name only a few. He was recently nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a TV Drama or Mini Series AACTA Award for Devil's Playground and won an ASTRA for Most Outstanding Performance in a TV Drama for the same role. When casting for the role of 'The Duke', we couldn't look past him for our suave older man!

BEN MORTLEY was nominated for a Logie Award for his role as an Italian Lothario (known as Alberto) on McLeod's Daughters, so we know he'll make the perfect love interest for Isabelle. His film credits include a number of iconic Aussie films - LANTANA, DRIFT and DINGO; however, the past year has seen him perform back-to-back shows or seasons with Perth's pre-eminent theatre companies. In addition to his Blue Room Best Performer and PAWA Best Supporting Actor nominations for Robots Vs Art, Ben recently received numerous nominations and awards for his role in Those Who Fall in Love Like Anchors Dropped Upon the Ocean Floor.

Tango Underpants (14mins, 2014) starred Logie nominated and AFI award winning actress, Emma Booth (CLUBLAND, PARKER, Underbelly). It was adapted for screen by John Collee (HAPPY FEET, MASTER AND COMMANDER), produced by Stephen Van Mil and Tania Chambers (KILL ME THREE TIMES), and shot entirely in Argentina by award-winning cinematographer Denson Baker (ORANGE AND SUNSHINE). The music was composed by Guy Gross (PRISCILLA: QUEEN OF THE DESERT) and Aurelio Costarella designed the famous 'Tango Dress’, which was later showcased at the WA Museum. Support was garnered in the fundraising stage from screen veterans David Wenham and Bryan Brown whilst at CinefestOz, and in the production stage from the film’s key sponsors - Bendon, Lonely Planet, Mainpeak and Aravina Estate.
After receiving numerous accolades and awards on the international film festival circuit, Tango Underpants was nominated for four WA Screen Awards in 2014, winning Best Script – Short Form. Most recently it won Audience Award For Best Sexy Film at the BeFilm The Underground Film Festival in New York and was selected to screen at the upcoming 2015 Cannes Film Festival, as part of the Cinephile program.
Tango Underpants has been sold to Qantas, SBS Television, KQED San Francisco and Pacific Voice Japan – true testament to the team’s dedication and professionalism.
