kathrene streamerThese researchers work very hard in what spare time they have (i.e. they have "proper" jobs and other research commitments) to make this project "fly" and deserve our support.12y

Marilyn HaywardHurray! I've just sponsored the cockatoos of Australia for humanitarian research! If I get to name one it'll be "Doogie".12y

Sarah DevesonWe saw a few of your tagged birds around our house a long time before finding out about your project and were very excited to finally find out the reason for the tags. Of course, we haven't seen one since and my ten year old is desperate to see one again so she can register it on the iPhone app!12y

Lee-Anne McInerneyThis is a great project. I have often wondered if the galahs and cockatoos that feed in my yard, in Western NSW, come back every year. Tagging would be a great way to find out. Any thoughts to extending this project to rural NSW ? It would be interesting to know how far these birds fly to feed and whether they feed each year from the same food source.12y

Name a cockatoo being researched through Wingtags. Everytime we tag a bird, we name him/her. We already have Party Boy, Elvis and Shakespeare. Use your imagination to come up with a name for a new bird joining the project*. We'll announce your contribution on the Wingtags' Facebook page and you can also keep track of any photos and updates on your feathered friend through Facebook. We'll also send you a thank you email and a tax deductible receipt. (*name subject to team approval)
