Whoa! The time has finally come to make my second full length album
I've been writing new songs for the past 2 years at home, on the road and in little apartments in Paris and Barcelona and, out of about 50, i've picked 12 or so that I really love and I think/hope you'll love them too!
So, i'm very excited! And nervous. And ready. And I need your help to get this album recorded and into your ears... Please help me!
I've put a whole lot of things up for sale on this site and your contributions will directly help me fund this new album. There's a B-sides album, fun stuff like writing a song for you or with you, a private Skype concert, special CD packages & heaps more. And, of course, you can pre order the new album here too. It all depends on what you want and how much you want to spend.
Oh, and if you haven't yet had a listen to a few of the songs that will be on there you can check out a few videos at www.sambuckingham.com
Have a listen and you can decide if you think the album will be any good before you order it online! I guess it's a bit of a 'try before you buy' option. Like in the deli at Woolworths when I always ask to eat a piece of cabanossi before I buy cheese...
I'll be staying in touch with everyone throughout the campaign process and then throughout the recording process to let you all know how it's going and give you inside sneak peeks into what's happening along the way. If you have an idea/there's something that's not here that you want or you think would be an awesome thing for others to have too, email me sam (at) sambuckingham . com and let me know!
Each and every dollar (except for 7% which goes to Pozible!) that's pledged will go directly into paying for the new album to be made. My goal on here is to raise $10,000 which is about two thirds of the minimum of what the album will cost. I'm working my little thighs off to get the rest together but, obviously, if we get over $10,000 on this here site that would be AMAZING as it will mean more recording time (which means more songs!) or we might even have some cash for a video clip and some other stuff aswell.
