Our Story.

Earlier this year Alex and Clarrie saw the big blank wall and open public basketball courts on Blair Street as a huge opportunity. 

The space and wall were perfect to create something new that the area hadn't seen before. Something that could be enjoyed and appreciated by anyone and everyone. And most importantly, something the local community could be proud of.

Not only did they want to paint those white walls but they wanted to give you a reason to stick around and watch it all unfold - markets, food and live music seemed like a logical inclusion. Although as neither of them could paint or play music to save their lives, they went about speaking with all different types of artists.

To their surprise, nobody knocked them back, not one person. In fact, everybody they spoke to loved the idea and wanted to help however they could, from the owners of the court, to local businesses to the community in general.

So it got them thinking... rather than just applying for a grant to pay the artists, they should approach this differently... In a way that would make this event as big and as well-supported as possible. 

Our Vision.

The desire to get Drip By Drip Bondi off the ground and to, more importantly, crowdfund it, was born from a simple idea. That art within the community should be supported, celebrated and made possible by the community. Not just driven by a council, an artist or a business. 

Our goal is to create a unique and memorable event that will allow people from all ages and backgrounds to come together and appreciate in the flesh, their joint efforts that make this project possible.

The Day Itself.

We were lucky enough to be granted an amazing space in the Blair Street Basketball Courts. An area in which we have space for a range of stalls, live music, and some additional surprises. We have outlined some of the main attractions for the day:

• 5 muralists painting in unison
• 4 food stalls all offering special deals
• A coffee truck
• A range of local business selling goods
• Multiple Live Acoustic Sets from Local Musicians

To provide full transparency we have broken down the costs of the day below.

Costs

• Artists Fees - $4250
• Design Fees - $400
• Marketing Costs - $350
• Pozible Fees - $150
• Total Costs - $5150

Contributions already made

• Community Sponsors - $2000

However, thanks to a range of Community Sponsors we have been able to reduce the final figure to $3150 for the community.
