Celebrating the films and culture of indie, queer, first nations, gender diverse and critical filmmaking is the focus of our ethos: our opening films include the latest release films alongside retro programming (Almódovar Wednesdays) and films you might have missed (Grand Tour, Universal Language). Collingwood's Eclipse Cinema was first established in the 'Textiles District' in 1913. However screenings ceased only a few years later... until Mark Walker (co-founder of Pivotonian Cinema) embarked upon a revival of the cinema in the former Sherrin football factory here at 32 Wellington Street.

The boutique cinema has comfortable seating from Camatic, Dolby digital sound and the latest in cinema projection equipment. Enjoy a beer or wine, choc tops and popcorn or sample a range of delicious snacks!

As the cinema is almost ready to open, most of the expenses have been absorbed. However, ongoing consultancy fees, Council charges and start-up cash flow is a concern.
