In 2016, Frock Paper Scissors (Frock) enters its eleventh year. While still a young publication, Frock has built up a formidable reputation over the past ten years as an innovative source of inspiration for all things fashion, style, and culture. This treasured publication has been created and produced by a dedicated and passionate student team at QUT since 2005. Frock offers a unique insight into Brisbane’s thriving cultural environment through the eyes of the city’s most creative young minds. The magazine focuses on emerging local talent; enabling creative entrepreneurs to showcase their work. Moreover, Frock prides itself on creating thought-provoking dialogue around the fashion industry, culture, and the arts.

2016 sees Frock move forward, strengthening its identity as an inspiring, compelling, and sophisticated publication. This year’s theme, ‘What is it to be human?’ – has the team exploring contemporary issues and themes concerning the world we live in and the people who inhabit it. This theme encourages intellectual and conceptual approaches in examining what clothing and artistic expression really means to us as individuals.

This issue will prove to be compelling, powerful  and daring.
