My name is Nathan and this is my little bloke Toby.

This year has been chaos, rebuilding, and purpose all in one. I went from addiction, violence, losing my home and living in temporary accommodation to finally finding something worth building. Something that gives back instead of taking.

Naynays Donuts is not just a donut shop.

It is a father and son rebuilding our life, one step at a time, and opening the doors for the community while we do it.

                                                                                      (Shop Front Mock Up)

We’ve just signed the lease for our first shop in Ulladulla.

The place is empty.

No equipment.

No fit out.

Just four walls and a massive dream.

We want to create a space where families feel safe, kids feel welcome, and the community has somewhere positive to hang. A place with bright neon colours, kindness walls, founders walls, and good energy the moment you walk in.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

We’ve secured a micro loan and we’re putting in every dollar we have… but it’s not enough.

We need help covering:

• DA Approval

• Grease Trap

• Extraction / Ventilation

• Flooring & Shop Prep

• Singage etc

Every dollar gets us closer to opening our doors.

Every contribution helps this father and son stand back up and create something real.

WHAT THIS PROJECT MEANS

This shop is our restart button.

This is us choosing community over chaos.

This is showing my little boy what it looks like to rebuild your life from nothing.

We’re committed to giving back.

As we grow, a percentage of profits will support youth programs, kindness initiatives, and local families doing it tough.

This isn’t just about donuts.

It’s about purpose, connection, and proving that you can rise again.

If you can help us take this step, thank you.

If you can share the project, thank you.

Every bit of support pushes this dream closer to real.

Budget Overview

We’ve already done the hard yards.

We secured a $10000 micro-finance loan, signed the lease, packed up our lives, and committed to bringing something real to Ulladulla.

But here’s the truth: opening a food business is brutal when you’re rebuilding your life from scratch. The loan got us started, but it doesn’t cover the heavy stuff that council requires before we can even fry a single donut.

This is where we need help.

DA Approval

This one hurts.

To legally open our doors, we need our DA approved, drawings submitted, council fees paid, and a planner guiding the process.

Cost: $3800

It’s a big hit, but it’s non-negotiable.

Grease Trap

Council compliance means installing a proper grease arrestor.

As much as we’d love to skip it, we can’t.

Cost: $4000–$6000

Plumbing, concrete cutting, install… all unavoidable.

Extraction / Ventilation

We need a compliant extraction fan so we can operate safely, cleanly, and legally.

Cost: $1500

Flooring and Shop Prep

The front floor wasn’t safe or suitable. We need to resurface it or replace it completely. The back needs sealing for hygiene.

Cost: $1200

Signage + Branding

We want the community to see a local business that represents pride, colour, and hope.

Cost: $1500

Essential Fitout

The small stuff adds up fast:

Stainless sink install, plumbing, electrical, final equipment, tools, and materials.

Cost: $1000

Total We Still Need:

$11000–$15000

We’re not asking for a handout.

We’re asking for a hand in helping us build something that gives back.

A place where kids can come for a treat, where families feel welcome, where we create local jobs, kindness walls, founders walls, and give a percentage back into youth programs.

We’ve put everything we have into this.

This is the final stretch.

With your help, we can open these doors and start something that Ulladulla can be proud of.
