Every second 1-2 football fields of forests are cut down & mainly due to this habitat loss the number of wild animals on Earth has halved in the past 40 years.

My HalfCut challenge, is a campaign from BeardsOn for Conservation and all donations from this campaign will go towards the Rainforest Trust Australia. Every $2 sees an acres protected worldwide. All donations are matched $1 for $1. Double the impact, double the rainforests protected.

Rainforest Trust Australia purchases and protects the most threatened tropical forests, saving endangered wildlife through partnerships and community engagement. BeardsOn in partnership, helps raise the much needed funds.

In their 30 years of operation they’ve protected over 18 million acres of rainforest.

Their main strategy is to buy up private land and gift it to local environmental and/or indigenous groups whilst also developing forms of sustainable and environmentally friendly income activities, especially ecotourism, for these groups.

The best part about the Rainforest Trust is its operational costs are 100% funded by its board members, meaning 100% of donations from this campaign go towards buying land.
