DUCKEYE needs to get this 4th album out of the house and into some pledgends (crowd funding pledging legends) grotty little mitts BUT we can't do it without your help!!! You've been there before when we've asked, so here we are asking you to get behind us and support the release of our 4th studio long player!!!

4TH ALBUM SNIPPET

To give you a genuine idea of the usual path ahead of an independent band, here is our

"TO DO LIST"

- Sam drives 200kms to Melbourne to jam with the band (usually fortnightly over 6 - 8 months minimum)
- basic recording equipment is lugged and set up in the room
- Duckeye writes songs furiously for average 4 hours in stinky room
- Demo songs are later edited and sent via email to review
- Lyrics are borne of laughter from experiences
- random gigs occur between major tours to test songs live
- more jamming, more refining, more stinkiness
- album artwork discussed
- Sam graphic designs his & Jules' paintings into album art work (100 hours approx)
- Sean programs demo drums for guitars & vocal recording @ homes & studio (100 hours at least)
- songs are still refined & basically mixed upon email reviews
- when arrangments are set in stone, Sean hires studio to record live drums
- drums and recording equipment set up, nearly a full day for that
- drums are performed and recorded (another 2 days minimum)
- Sean then sifts through numerous takes to find the best performances of each song
- editing continues constantly (1000 hours easily, no kidding)
- whilst album art work is emailled back and forth, Jules is tracking bass guitar and vocals with Sean in one of their homes amongst life
- video clips are being shot, edited and animated (100 hours easily)
- guitars and vocals are tracked both at home on Phillip Island, and live in the studio 200kms away over a weekend hopefully (100 hours)
- during this time, our social is inundated with absurd posts and images (5 minutes)
- once everything is recorded, mixing ensues (200 hours... probably more)
- emails go back and forth with tears and suggestions
- MGM Distribution is contacted to see if they'll still tolerate us
- AUSTEP Manufacture is contacted for album art design specs that are rarely adhered to
- Vistaprint ordering online gets FRIDGE MAGNETS happening! (worth every minute!)
- old mate Cliff is sent terrible, questionable tshirt and poster designs to build silkscreens in his underground lair at Surf Beach so we can later hand-print them    
- friends in bands and venue bookers are contacted warning of our impending stinkathon tour to promote the release
- friends are messaged for floor space to crash on and support slots filled
- friends are the best (infinite hours)
- printed posters are rolled up with chocolates and sent to venues (10 hours)
- final mixes of the album are being signed off on
- great debates over song listings rage on (5 minutes)
- final mastering and turd polishing of the album happens (30 hours)
- uploading for manufacture and distribution occurs (10 hours)
- art proofs are bounced back and forth
- videos are completed and sent to media junk folders
- crowd funding rewards, from a CD through tolarge parcels filled with paintings, vinyls etc, are packed and sent (100 hours easily)

- without fail, 2 weeks before release, our album ends up on average 50 illegal download sites (true story)

- we plod off in Sam's 1997 Commodore family station wagon for 1000's of kilometres to play numerous gigs around the country to average 30-50 punters per show (400 hours..?)

- the tour ends, back to square one.

The biggest challenge we face is raising the WONDER FUNDS within the 60 days whilst bludgeoning you with constant updates and social media shout outs of THANKS!

OH! And please note that delivery time is AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. The Album is still being recorded and mixed and piddled upon so the songs require a fair bit of Sean "polish de turd".

As you can see we do the far majority of it ourselves, out of our own pocket (the extra $4000 Touring for example), like every other independent band ever. We write, rehearse, record, mix, and master our music ourselves. Plus we do all the artwork and graphic design. And we make the silly video clips.
