We have hit the fundraising target! THANK YOU EVERYONE for your support and for pre ordering an album. I have been asked to 'stretch' the target to see how much I can raise but I have decided to just chill and keep the campaign open and hopefully get to the 10k mark through those who just want to pre order an album. We have 35 LP's left, so lets try sell them out!

I am not going to be travelling in 2020 so am planning on filming some live shows for you all. Anything I raise over the 8k mark will contribute to filmmakers and audio engineers to create some lovely online content from my home base in Darwin. It all helps and I am grateful to not have the stress of upfront costs to print the physical copies of the merch at this uncertain covid time. Thank you again. xL

Hi Friends, 

Leah Flanagan here and this is my first adventure into the world of crowdfunding.

I am a singer songwriter from Darwin in the tropical north of Australia and I have been a touring and working musician for over 10 years. I’ve released a bunch of independent albums over the years - the last one - saudades - was released in 2016 - OMG how time has flown. Since that time I have been busy, I’ve become a mum and went through major hip replacement surgery and pretty much had to learn how to walk again through intensive rehabilitation, that's why I have been keeping quiet these past few years.

The reason for this crowdfund campaign is because early last year I went into the studio with a gorgeous woman called Sarah Belkner and started working on a bunch of songs which have evolved into my new album entitled Colour By Number.

I was incredibly lucky to have Sarah at the producers helm and a pretty spesh and super hot band that consisted of Evan Mannell, Tim Curnick, Dave Rodriguez, a string section led by Veronique Serret and special guest vocalists Darren Percival and Jarulah Slabb.

The man Richard -Richie B - Belkner engineered and mixed and worked so hard on this record and I am so proud of the result and can’t wait to share it with the world.

The purpose for this Crowdfund is essentially a pre sale for the new album. I want to print on vinyl and print merch out of the designs the incredible Nungala Creative has crafted and I want to be able to promote it properly with my friend Leigh from Against the Grain publicity and these costs are difficult to recoup when you are not touring actively to promote a release. Due to the effects of Covid19, I’ve had to cancel all of my album launch shows and push back the album release date in order to come up with a new plan to get this record out in the world.

I am looking to raise $8,000 to cover the costs of printing merchandise - Vinyl, CD,s T-shirts and paying for some of Leigh’s time.

Anything I raise over this amount will go towards createing high quality online and video content to accompany my music that I can share with you all while I am not actively touring. The expenses that come with this are paying for filmmakers and sound engineers to capture these special live moments.

To finalise this project and get it out into the world, I need to cover these final expenses:

T-shirts + Merch - $1,300

Total = $8,000
