Hey you guys! It’s Melody Moko. Singer, Writer, Mama and lady of a thousand names and a thousand songs, and GUESS WHAT?! I've got a brand new bunch that I can't wait to share with YOU! What a JOURNEY we have been on in the past few years since my debut album baby "The Wreckage" was born. We hit the ARIA charts, got nominated for a Country Music Channel award, had Capital News suggest that my record was as life changing and ground breaking as Kasey Chambers "The Captain" (saaaaaaaaay whhhhaaaaaat?!) and toured all the lands with all these amazing people. (You know, just casually, Fanny Lumsden, Catherine Britt, The McClymonts) along the way, I met some of you, re-connected with some of you and what a bunch of bloody legends you are. No, really. You and your support of "The Wreckage" and the Moko crew in its entire glory, has been incredible.

Now that scary and exciting time has arrived…  it’s time to to make the second record! Between birthing babies and traversing highways, I found some time on my hands (ha!) to write a whole bunch of club bangers. Okay, not club bangers, I promise, but a bunch of really special songs, that I am so proud of, and very excited to share with you. But that’s just it… without your help, I'm going to have a hard time getting this new baby into the world.  So I'm here asking for you to help. With all the manners and appreciation a birth partner deserves - you, buying pre-orders and house concerts and new spiffy threads, will all help me make a record we can all be proud of.

I’m not scared of change, in fact, three states, and ten houses in five years would suggest I thrive on it… SO we have decided to take a brand new road and try something new this time. As a bit of a music production geek, I keep a master list of the peeps whose tricks and licks stand out amongst the crowd. One guy has been THE guy for me for many years now, Producing some of the finest Americana of the last decade, including Mary Gauthier, Kim Richey, Matthew Ryan and Caroline Spence. His name is Neilson Hubbard. He is a bloody genius. and he wants to work on this record! Not only that, but he wants to work alongside my other favourite (Okay, MOST favourite) producer, Michael Muchow. WHAT A FREAKING DREAM TEAM!

NOW the journey begins… The songs on this record are super close to my heart, like a confessional, neatly wrapped with three chords and a rocking jumpsuit. Some songs are about family, some about life on the road, and even a few about being a woman and all that goes along with that, so aptly, this record is called "Woman" and it serves to contribute to, and stand for all the great work, women in this industry do.  So can we do it..? Do you want to come along for the ride..? LET'S MAKE A RECOOOOOORD!!!
