RAW - October 13 at the MET in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane

RAW is a fun and alternative way for artists to showcase both to their local community and the world-at-large.
It is not your average art show. it is are loud, colorful, creative, and all about our artists.

What can you expect when attending a RAW Showcase?

You'll experience an independent film screening (usually a short, webisode or music video), a pop-up gallery featuring several independent visual artists and photographers, fashion shows from up-and-coming local designers, live musical performances, vendor booths featuring local artisans and accessories designers, and live performance art. You'll get a little taste of everything. Combine all this creativity with drinks, fun, and good company!

What I am asking of you

is to help me showcase my art at this already successful event by purchasing event tickets through me. I need to sell at least 20 tickets to participate and you will be rewarded with a unique and fun night out as well as some gifts of thanks from me. For those of you who are unable to attend (e.g. live on the otherside of the world or the like) but would love to give me some much appreciated support, you may purchase a support ticket and you will receive some thank you gifts and even some original framed artworks if you choose. 

Running Duck Studio is all about having a bit of fun, the artwork is Australian country themed with a dab of wildlife, a little bit of cheeky humour and a touch of whimsy.

My inspiration....the stupidly humorous Indian Runner Ducks and my crazy funloving kids that are a part of my day to day life. 

My skills have developed over some thirty or so...cough cough...odd years. This includes 6 years spent drawing for Walt Disney, evident in the cartoonish elements of mywork. However, I have only started marketing my artwork on a larger scale to the public over the last few years, hence this RAW even will be a great step forward. Further, after participating in this local RAW event means I would then have the opportunity to participate in any of the other RAW events across 60 cities.

RAW currently operates in over 60 cities across the United States, Australia, Canada and the UK!

The funds generated from my Project RAW will go to purchasing the required tickets to participate and display my artwork at the Brisbane RAW event this October 13. 

I will be footing the bill for the display, hanging and framing of the artworks as well as accommodation and transportation.

Standard RAW event Tickets are $20 each but selecting a higher reward will go a longer way to making this much needed exposure a reality, and also means you will receive original artwork at a much reduced price set for my highly valued supporters.

The ticket buyer's (your) name will be on an electronic guest list at the door on the night of the event. This is an 18+ event [ID required for entry]. You do not have to print out (nor will you be mailed/shipped) any physical tickets, however I will email you a receipt of your purchased ticket for verification.

If more tickets than required 20 are purchased, then all the more to come and enjoy the event.

In these nsational event that I acquire more funds than required outside of ticket purchases, the extra funds will go towards the purchase of a heat press to allow me to put my ink designs on tea towels and pillow cases. In this case my supporters will receive the first designs off the press as an extra thankyou :)

Due to my location in a small country town outside Brisbane most of my supporters to date are not city goers, and hence the broadening of my possible audience through Pozible will hopefully help this hurdle.

If the required tickets are not purchased I will be footing the bill for those tickets, which means I will be starting on the back foot. Hopefully crossing a new demographic with the event will out way the expense if this occurs :)
