Save Grampians Climbing asked climbers what climbing areas that are now on the banned list (either permanently or temporarily) are most important to them.

We organised the hundreds of responses into a 'Word Cloud', and the resulting image is especially powerful.
Locations are all in the Grampians (Gariwerd) / and Arapiles (Djurite).

Theses places are important to climbers; they offer some of the most outstanding climbing Australia has to offer, and if they are no longer available to us, at least we can wear the T-Shirt and keep the memories that these special places have given us.

Crag Stewards got a box to test out, and while it'll still be a couple of months at least before you can buy them in the shops, there's a limited number of packs available now.

Also, most options get the PDF "Self Print" A1 Poster of the same design.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Gariwerd/Djurite, and their continuing connection to country.  The places listed in this graphic have been closed by Parks Victoria (some as a temporary measure), and very few have been closed as a request by Traditional Owners.  We support the preservation of protection of Cultural Heritage, and the environment in which we all share.  

To get bulk prices for printing and supply of shirts, we need to reach a order quantity of 50.

This equates to approx $2,000.  Should be a piece of cake, but we need your support!

Crag Stewards Victoria seeks to collaborate with the community to care for and maintain the sites that climbers enjoy, preserving them now and for future generations. We strongly believe that recreational rock climbing can exist in an environmentally and culturally sustainable manner.

Aims

Crag Stewards Victoria aims to preserve our natural climbing environment by improving the level of care and maintenance at all Victorian climbing sites. 

To achieve this, the organisation will pursue four avenues of action:

1. Educate crag users in low impact climbing practices, etiquette and behaviour.

2. Monitor and record the impact of crag use by conducting structured environmental and safety assessments of existing climbing sites.

3. Collaborate with the support of Parks Victoria and Traditional Owners, coordinate cleaning, care, and maintenance projects in response to concerns raised following assessments, or at the request of Land Managers.

4. Support active understanding and respect for traditional cultural heritage and reconciliation through education and raising of awareness.
