Four years ago, we crowdfunded, printed, and distributed 100 banners to send the message that we welcome asylum seekers. This banner has been seen at homes and rallies all over Australia. We have had numerous requests for more of these banners since the first batch ran out, so we are crowdfunding to make another hundred.

We are asking you to get this project to the finish line by contributing to the printing, manufacturing and distribution costs of the banner. Your reward will be 1, 2, or more banners, according to the amount funded.

Why we made this banner

Asylum seekers and refugees are people just like us. They should not be punished for fleeing danger and seeking our help. Seeking asylum is not a crime. 

Putting up a “welcome” message reminds people there are still men, women, and children seeking asylum who are indefinitely detained by the Australian government in onshore and offshore centres. Its also a great banner to bring along to rallies and protests.
